During the ASMA Silver Exhibition online launch, President Karen Bloomfield said,
“Selecting & awarding the annual President’s Medal is the greatest honour of my year and one that I take very seriously.
The selection process is unique to each President however the criteria remain the same, which is, to award a member either for their outstanding artwork or for their outstanding contribution to the Society.
This year I asked myself, who ‘stands-out’ and the answer was immediately obvious.
This long-standing member has at one time or another, held almost every position available on the committee; generously shared with me his experience, knowledge & advice without agenda; and has tirelessly published the Members with The Bulletin for the last 6 years.
Tonight it honours me greatly to award this years’ President’s Medal to a member that the Society is beyond lucky to have – – John Woodland.”
Ms Bloomfield will be delivering the Medal and accompanying certificate in person to John in the coming weeks.
