Gianfranco (John) Gambardella

John Gambardella is an Italian born artist from Trieste.  Since a youngster, it was evident that art was his great interest and encouraged by his father, continued his interest into his late-twenties.  That exuberant young interest in art ‘did not pay the rent’, explains John.  So, having a degree in accountancy led him to a professional career in that field, whilst art was placed on the back-burner.  Over the years, John kept an interest and self-development in fine art.  It was not until 2005 that John returned to painting on a full time and professional basis.

Returning to art, John has been privileged to exhibit at various notable art awards and exhibitions, both nationally and internationally – receiving encouraging reviews and commendations. This is attested by reviewing his Artist Profile and Curriculum Vitae.

John has categorised his art as being traditional realism and more recently has been drawn towards abstract impressionism, covering whatever subjects that arouses his interest.  John favours two dimensional art, but he has an open mind and is excited by all facets of art.

John is conscious of keeping current and seeking to create artwork that define new boundaries, enabling to excite and evoke interest to the viewer.
